With a strong commitment to youth empowerment, social justice, and community development, Ahmed has become a leading voice for young changemakers in Somaliland and beyond.

Khalid Mohamed Jama is a passionate youth trainer, researcher, and sustainable development advocate based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. With over four years of experience, he has delivered impactful trainings in leadership, communication, and teamwork, empowering young people to take active roles in their communities. As a dedicated member of the Somaliland Youth Ambassadors Council (SOYAC) , Khalid has proudly represented Somaliland on international platforms, where he advocates for youth participation, peacebuilding, and climate action. A YALI alumnus and international youth representative, he has also led community trainings for women and girls, promoting empowerment and inclusion. In addition, Khalid brings strong expertise in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) within the development sector, contributing to effective and sustainable program outcomes.

Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Somaliland Youth Ambassadors Council (SOYAC), a youth-led initiative dedicated to empowering young leaders through diplomacy, dialogue, and development.

Beyond academia, Abdiaziz serves as Head of Youth Empowerment and Training at the Somaliland Youth Ambassadors Council (SOYAC), where he designs and leads programs that foster youth leadership, diplomatic engagement, and community-driven development across Somaliland. His core interests include youth diplomacy, Pan-Africanism, and socio-political transformation. A passionate advocate for youth inclusion, he has played a pivotal role in amplifying young voices both locally and across Africa. Abdiaziz is a former member of several continental and global youth platforms, where he contributed to shaping youth-centered development agendas. He has represented Somaliland in international forums, sharing insights on African development and advocating for Somaliland’s unique identity and aspirations. He is widely respected for his commitment to youth empowerment and for building bridges between African youth movements and global conversations on development.
